“My partner, Kerry, and I last travelled overseas before Covid. We normally travel to either Europe or Asia and, on this occasion, we accepted Holly’s recommendation to travel to Sri Lanka. We have often talked about visiting the Maldives and Sri Lanka is a well known stopover when doing so. That said, it had not been on my radar as a separate destination. It turns out that it was a fantastic suggestion and an equally fantastic destination.
We studied the usual catalogue of travel information, put together a wish list and then asked Holly to create an Itinerary. Holly suggested a personal driver who stays with you throughout the travelling. Ours was great and we have kept in contact. His knowledge and language skills (neither of us spoke any of the formal languages) was invaluable. My only reticence about him is how little he is paid, so First World guilt, really.
The trip was over a number of days (about 20 in all, not including travel) and basically circumnavigated the island. The north, south and middle are all quite different and each has aspects that are not to be missed.
The highlight of the trip for us was the 3 nights we spent at Kalkudah Beach. This was one of the “treats” that Holly and Kerry found. I wished we’d gone there and only stayed there! But then, we’d have missed the rest of this spectacular island, its diverse and picturesque countryside and beaches and the beautiful people.
We are planning to return, with the help of Holly. Her guidance and selections were invaluable, too.”

“My husband and I used Holly at HollyDay Travel and her expertise in all things travel for our honeymoon in October 2019. I had never used this type of service when it came to booking a holiday and to be honest I will always use Holly for all things travel.
She blew us away with what she came up with for our honeymoon. She listened to what we were looking for in regards to the type of honeymoon we wanted and delivered on every single thing, over and above. We chose to go to Sri Lanka and then onto the Maldives.
She communicated with us throughout the process, provided options and recommendations that only people who have insider knowledge could provide. From flights, accommodation, transport, experiences and travel insurance, everything was taken care of. It is also amazing that Holly is your point of contact for all things if you needed something.
It took a lot of stress off of our hands and we just got to truly relax and enjoy. The people she organised to be our local guide in Sri Lanka were some of the nicest people we have ever met and people we still cherish today. The island we stayed on in the Maldives was absolutely breath taking in every way and one that my husband and I would never have looked at if we were doing this ourselves due to the way google gives you the bigger, more ‘famous’ Maldivian resort islands.
It was definitely the perfect honeymoon because of what Holly provided us with, not because of the destinations. It is the small things that she did that made it so perfect. I cannot recommend using Holly more, for all things travel, small getaways or a large trip and especially now that travel is finally opening up post Rona. I know we will be!”
